Düş Yollarda Kırıldı is a multi-layered novel that brings together individual destiny and moments of societal rupture, based on a historical event in 1876 Thessaloniki that resulted in the murder of two consuls.
The chain of events, triggered by a Bulgarian girl's conversion to Islam, becomes a mirror of an era where different faiths, identities, and political tensions intertwine. The novel is not merely a historical narrative; it is a human confrontation woven around the concepts of fear, belonging, accusation, and justice. Starting from an individual story, Düş Yollarda Kırıldı narrates the massive upheavals during the dissolution of empires and the deep fissures these upheavals opened within the human soul.
The second edition of the novel Düş Yollarda Kırıldı was published by Yakın Publications in 2018.
